What You Get When You Leave a Watch With Us
We don't sell promises. We describe what we do, how we do it, and what you can reasonably expect. That's the foundation every service here is built on.

Horological Knowledge
Our technicians have worked on mechanical movements for over two decades. We understand calibres, their individual characteristics, and what a proper service actually involves — not just a clean and oil.
Written Scope and Pricing
Before a single tool touches your watch, you receive a written estimate. The scope and the cost are clear. Nothing is added or changed without your approval first.
Specialist Equipment
Our workshop uses ultrasonic cleaning baths, timing machines, and calibrated measuring instruments. The right tools for each task — not improvised substitutes.
Direct Communication
You deal with the people doing the work, not a front desk layer that relays messages. If something unexpected arises during a service, we contact you directly.
Documented Results
Watches returned from service come with a written summary. Timing readings, parts replaced, and observations from the assessment are recorded for your records.
Considered Pricing
Our pricing reflects the actual time, parts, and skill involved. We do not add unexplained fees, and we do not quote low only to revise upward mid-service.
The Skill Behind Each Job
Watch repair at the movement level is a trained skill, not something picked up informally. Our lead horologist has over twenty years of hands-on experience across Swiss and Japanese calibres, and our complications technician brings formal training from overseas alongside a genuine interest in the mechanisms he works on. This depth means we can look at an unfamiliar calibre, understand its assembly logic, and service it properly — rather than guessing.
Workshop Equipment That Fits the Task
Ultrasonic cleaning baths remove aged lubricant and residue from movement components without the risk of damage that manual cleaning introduces. Timing machines allow us to verify accuracy across positions — information that's meaningful rather than decorative. We use microscopy for assessment and fine work, and our parts sourcing runs through established supply channels rather than improvised alternatives.
A Service You're Kept Informed About
We understand that handing over a watch — particularly a meaningful one — requires a degree of trust. We try to make that easier by keeping the process transparent. Assessment findings are shared with you before work begins. If the scope changes mid-service for any reason, we stop and discuss it rather than proceeding unilaterally. On collection, you receive a written summary of everything done.
Pricing That Reflects the Actual Work
Our prices reflect the labour involved, the parts used, and the time the watch requires. We do not charge for procedures that weren't needed, and we do not revise estimates upward without discussing the reasons with you first. Comparatively, you may find cheaper services — but the question worth asking is what corners are being cut to make that price possible.
Work That Actually Holds
The goal of every service is a watch that performs well, looks as it should, and gives you years of reliable use before the next service becomes necessary. We verify timing after every mechanical service and document the results. If something doesn't meet our own standard before you collect the piece, it stays until it does.
Why the Approach Matters
Not all watch repair services are the same. The differences show up in the details — and in the condition of your watch six months after collection.
| Aspect | Typical Providers | Zweite Feder |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-service estimate | Verbal or approximate only | Written, itemised, fixed before work |
| Communication | Updates on request, if at all | Proactive — you are contacted if anything changes |
| Parts sourcing | Cheapest available alternative | Compatible originals first; alternatives discussed with owner |
| Post-service record | None, or a receipt only | Written summary with timing data |
| Timing verification | Eyeballed or omitted | Machine-tested across positions |
| Watch custody | Stored with other pieces, unlabelled | Individually labelled tray, secure storage |
What Separates Us
Our written estimates are binding. We do not add charges after the fact. If complications arise that require a change in scope, we discuss it before proceeding — not after the watch is disassembled.
We started on vintage pieces and have not moved away from them. If you have a watch with a calibre that other workshops decline, we are more likely than most to have encountered it before.
Clients outside Klang Valley can submit their watches by registered courier after initial contact. We provide packing guidance and keep you updated throughout the process.
We do not operate at volume. This means each watch gets the time it deserves. Our turnaround times reflect that — and so does the quality of the result.
