1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings assigned to them:
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions as accepted by the Client.
- "We / Us / Our" — Zweite Feder, a watch repair workshop operating at 42 Jalan SS 15/4, Subang Jaya, 47500 Selangor, Malaysia.
- "Client / You" — any individual or entity that submits an enquiry or brings a timepiece to our workshop for servicing.
- "Service" — any watch repair or maintenance work carried out by us, including Dial Refinishing and Hand Replacement, Bracelet and Strap Servicing, and Chronograph Calibration.
- "Timepiece" — the watch or watch component submitted by the Client for service.
- "Website" — the site operated at zweitefede.club.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our Website, contacting us by phone or email, or presenting a timepiece at our workshop, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Our services are available only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who have full capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
3. Service Description
We offer the following repair and maintenance services:
- Dial Refinishing and Hand Replacement — restoration of dial appearance and hand replacement. Expected turnaround: 7–12 working days. Price: MYR 1,100.
- Bracelet and Strap Servicing — disassembly, cleaning, adjustment, and replacement of bracelet components and straps. Expected turnaround: 3–5 working days. Price: MYR 620.
- Chronograph Calibration — disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and adjustment of chronograph mechanisms. Expected turnaround: 10–15 working days depending on calibre. Price: MYR 2,200.
All turnaround estimates are working-day estimates provided in good faith. Actual completion may vary depending on the condition of the timepiece, availability of components, or complexity discovered during service. We will communicate any significant variation from the stated estimate.
Services are available to clients in Malaysia. We do not currently accept international mail-in submissions.
4. Service Acceptance and Assessment
All services begin with an intake assessment of the timepiece. We reserve the right to decline service for any timepiece where, in our professional judgement, the condition presents risks to the watch, our equipment, or our staff, or where the work falls outside our current service scope.
If, during the service process, we identify additional issues not apparent at intake that affect the safe completion of the work, we will contact the Client before proceeding. You retain the right to accept or decline additional work. If declined, we will return the timepiece in its current state, and a partial assessment fee may apply.
5. Client Responsibilities
By submitting a timepiece for service, you represent and confirm that:
- You are the lawful owner of the timepiece, or have explicit authorisation from the owner to submit it for service.
- You have disclosed any known damage, modifications, or prior repair history relevant to the service requested.
- You will collect the timepiece within 30 days of being notified that the service is complete. Timepieces not collected within this period may attract a storage fee.
6. Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Payment is due in full at the time of collection of the timepiece.
- Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, and major debit/credit cards.
- A service cannot be released until payment has been received in full.
Deposits: For Chronograph Calibration services, a deposit of MYR 500 may be requested at the time of intake. This deposit is non-refundable if the Client cancels after the calibration work has commenced.
Refunds: If a service cannot be completed due to reasons within our control, the full amount paid (including any deposit) will be refunded. Refunds are processed within 10 working days.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our Website — including text, images, and design elements — is the property of Zweite Feder or used under applicable licences. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without our written consent.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to use our business name, logo, or other branding.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
We carry out all services with reasonable skill and care consistent with good horological practice. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults or damage not disclosed at intake
- Damage caused by external factors occurring after collection by the Client
- Variations in appearance resulting from the inherent characteristics of the timepiece's materials
- Loss of sentimental value associated with the timepiece
Our liability in any circumstance is limited to the price paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zweite Feder and its staff from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation regarding ownership of a timepiece, or your misuse of our Website.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a service engagement before work has commenced by written notice. If you cancel after work has commenced, you will be charged for work completed to that point. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our discretion.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, specifically within the Selangor jurisdiction.
We encourage informal resolution of any concerns. Please contact us at [email protected] before initiating any formal proceedings. We will aim to respond and engage in resolution discussions within 14 working days.
12. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement — these Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding use of our services and Website.
- Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
- Waiver — failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment — you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on our Website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
